Malloy, in Asheville, N.C., describing his experiences as a bayonet instructor and with troops in Alsace, at Chateau-Thierry, and the Argonne. Also included are a few letters from Malloy to his mother before going to France; letters from others describing the gallantry of his service and the circumstances of his death on 22 October 1918; and letters of condolence to Mrs. Malloy.
